about

About the song, “Over On Love” from songwriter, John (Duey) Ducharme and the band:

This is an interesting one because Duey wrote the whole song. Including the words which is rare as Jonathan is our main lyricist 95% of the time.
It's an image of Duey's perfect world while living in LA when the band was on hiatus for 3 years.
Duey: It's a love affair with freedom on the road and the underlying entropy of that whole lifestyle that follows and eventually consumes it.
The entropy takes forms of various street names. Every road you walk and every turn you take shows you the next phase of your life that you will eventually have to decide to take on or be lost forever.

lyrics

Where does this road lead us?
Should we take a left on Pain?
A virus now inside us

The life won't cease
with the sun inside of me
where everything is free

I got all I need to get my rocks off now
Everybody's mental
Everybody's single

What you need is what you bleed
I learned that over on Love
But I turned a corner on Vanity

Our lives won't cease
Do with it what you please
And everyone is free

I got all I need to get my rocks off now
Everything's untitled
Everything is simple
I got all I need to get my rocks off now.
Everybody's mental
Everybody's single

What you need is what you bleed

Where does this road lead us?
Turn right on Confusion
The virus grows inside us.

The life won't cease
with the sun inside of me
It won't cease
Where everything is free

I got all I need to get my rocks off now
Everything's untitled
Everything is simple
I got all I need to get my rocks off now
Everybody's mental
Everybody's single
